Magnaflow catback exhausts

If anyone is in the market for the magnaflow set go on eBay and do a quick search. I just bought my street catback for about 400 less than the best Black Friday deal I could find.

The seller appears to be a dealership in Florida with a good rep..

At this price I went from a guy who couldn't afford a exhaust to a guy that can't afford Christmas and you can too lol!

dyno numbers for different exhaust systems

Okay, I am a noob, so bear with me. I am lloking for dyno # comparisons from the major companies producing cat-back systems for the 5.0 GT. Just trying to do some homework before purchasing.

Its more about sound preference...you aren't going to unleash a lot of extra power for a simple cat back. You might gain a few extra HP from larger bore pipework and more free flowing silencer boxes, but that will be it.

I consider exhausts about 75% sound 25% supporting mod. They definitely will help make more power but only with a tune will you somewhat appreciate it. I based my shopping on the best sounding 3 inch exhaust as that diameter will have the best results for forced induction down the road. If you plan on staying N/A the 2.5 inch diameter can help with keeping torque numbers higher.
Figure out what your goals are and plan your build for long term. If you only plan on a couple mods get what sounds amazing to you and enjoy

What Tim said. A catback won't give you much of any hp gain.

catbacks are for sound, buy based on that , not for power gain

power will come from headers / tune / cai / sc / nitrous etc..
