will 255X40 /19 on 8.5 inch oem (2019 GT) rims and tires be too small for my cold weather tire setup on my mach 1? How will the offset look?
Looking for a good used set.

If you look on Tire Rack for each tire, it will give you a spec chart with a range of rim widths each tire should work on. It depends on the sidewall as well as the tire width.

they are oem size for a GT. I know they ll fit just wonder if they are too narrow?

I don't see why. The stock M1 is 255/40 and 275/40. Some people think diameter and speedometer error is a big deal but I don't, I've been running experimental sizes on my truck for years that are big departures from stock, and have never had an issue. You can calculate the speedo error and drive accordingly if it bugs you, but I'd be surprised if it was ever off by more than 2-3 mph.
