Looking at a Mach 1 and looks like something was dropped on the splitter where it comes up the front fender in front of the front wheel on the passenger side. Does this just snap in or is this broken and requiring replacement of the front splitter?

hopefully it does, unless the tabs are broken, in which case it won't. That's what I'm looking for, I'm looking to buy this car but want to understand the potential repair cost here if the tabs are broken, or if there are tabs, or how this thing actually mounts

If that’s all you’re worried about, buy it.

Looks like it may have gotten hit somehow causing it to unclip from the tabs. Honestly, if that is the only thing "wrong" with the car, that should not be a deal breaker, IMO.

If it snaps easily back into place I probably would have fixed it before taking the pics to post it for sale.
So I'm guessing it's probably broken and needing a little more effort.

Mine did the same thing after smacking a woodchuck at about 55 mph. There are tabs that snap the two pieces together, if they are broken you will need a new upper splitter. Too much tension due to the curvature, I couldn't find any plastic bond that would hold.

I used LePage plastic bond super glue for the same task and it worked. Anything that is listed to bond polyethylene will probably work. Depends on what is available in your area. Cleaned it, and clamped it overnight, seems to be holding.

I did a quick internet search. Looks like Levittown Ford has a lower splitter for $568.. Not sure if it includes your part but you could possibly start there.
