We Like: Its sharply done interior.
We Don't Like: Its loose handling.

"Loose handling"? Motor Trend's anti-Mustang bias is obvious.

Nearly every other publication, be it digital or paper, that has driven the 2015 Mustang has had more much positive things to say about the car's handling. M/T is the only one (out of more than 60 of them) to downright bash the S550's handling:

I call BS on M/T.

^^^LOL!!! Exactly!!!

Pretty good that the new '15 has made it into the top 3 as finalists in these 2 Car of the Year comparisons.

Not to take anything away from anyone's opinion, perhaps by 'loose handling' they meant tail happy? They might not appreciate that, but others probably enjoy they hell out of a tail-happy car.

Motor Trend was always the weak sister among the Big 3 car mags (R&T, C and D, M/T), but when Angus Mackenzie became an editor, it really snowballed down the hill, IMO.

The 2015 GTI was the least inspired "hot hatch" I've ever driven. Motor Trend is full of crap. Don't let a biased outlier influence your perception of the S550.

This exactly what it is...tail happy!! We know Randy said the same thing. He could sling it anytime he wanted.

You're talking about a magazine that tested the Shelby and the zl1, and after the Shelby slaughtered the piglet on every single test they did, they still called the zl1 the winner. It's pretty obvious that the Chevrolet in front of "motor trend" is silent.

I'm actually impressed by how ballsy M/T's opinions are. Their views are consistently at odds with the other big players. Back when I was obsessed with my 335i and pouring over reviews and comparisons in its hay day, M/T posted one of the few comparisons where the G37 beat it out. It drove me crazy for no particular reason! Now I don't take things so seriously. It just feels like déjà vu.

Perhaps I'm wrong....but it has ALWAYS seemed to me that MotorTrend has had a very heavy handed bias toward General Motors.

Just my $.02 worth.

It was a cool cruiser but car of the year? I have no idea how that thing won.
