I am in Orlando. They just charged like 2.5 hrs of labor to do the springs, I also had corsa sport cat backs put on at the same time so they chipped the price down a tad.

The shop even cringed when I said I had the sports to put on, and they asked then if I was sure I didn't want to switch out for pros. I know people love the lowered stance look, but we know in Florida how silly inclines and speed bumps can be like here.

But for sure, I will get a ruler or can and show you my front end. It looks great, I just piss myself every time I go over a bump. So I would advise to go for the pros or the steeda springs. Also the steeda jack rails would be great, but that's like 1/2 an inch and not an option unless I changed out springs.

Thanks for the info sir ! Daily drivability of the car remains a high concern for me - so I'm just afraid to make the wrong spring choice realley - my car sits so high right now I'm afraid I won't be happy with only 1" drop from pro kit and I'm also afraid of too low if I go sport lines so it's a fine line to judge

On another note - $200 to install springs is silly cheap I'm in south east FL I see your in FL too what part ?
Again thanks for info and hope to see some pics of your car on sport line springs
I was also concerned about lowering too much and worried that 1" wasn't enough. I went to Steeda and saw the shop car lowered on the Progressive sport springs and on 20" wheels it looked perfect. It's a little more than 1" in front. I'm on factory pp wheels for now and plan to go with 20" wheels when it's time to change the tires, so to me the drop is perfect. I can clear most parking stops and going slowly over speed bumps I don't bottom out. Where in FL are you located? If you'd like to see mine lowered I'm in Southeast FL too!

Every shop is going to charge a little differently, although I think for springs 4 hours plus 4-wheel alignment is fair considering the amount of experience we have with the S550 so far, especially while developing our springs and handful of other IRS components. Plus, we have some of the best techs in the country working on your car - what's that worth? I know I'd pay for that experience!

Is everyone going to need toe links, camber arms, camber plates? No, but if you're going to slam your car, it's recommended in order to get the alignment back into spec. In our findings, typically anything that lowers the car more than ~1" is going to affect the suspension geometry to where you'd need the accompanying mods.

We're not the type to 'throw every part recommendation we can' at the customer, anyone who's worked with me knows that first-hand. Every customer has different needs and therefore there isn't a one-size-fits-all mod path - if any of you guys have specific questions regarding your upgrade path, I'd be happy to assist.

The speed bump one is hard to see. It's about 1 inch clearance.

I work in north ft lauderdale and live in Deerfield
Would love to see a few lowered stangs to try and help me determine which springs will be right for me

@ David steeda - no offense intended maby I didn't word some of my initial post in the way I meant to - as I have been talking with rod my sales guy steeda pompano - we just did mbrp cat back / steeda cia no tune / and steeda oil air seperator - work done there at the shop is top notch - it's just that rod had said to me over the phone in pricing out lowering the labor is reasonable for all the stuff that needs done - but he also said that they wouldn't lower a car that much without doing all the extra pieces to put the suspension back to 100% alignment spec ( which makes sense as you wouldn't be liable for any --- ) but from what I've been gathering - the camber can be put to 1.6 ish is almost spec but still a tiny bit outside the range - I don't realley think I can justify spending all the extra $ on front plates and rear camber ajust bars if I'm only off by an acceptably small margin.

On the other side of the coin I'm still saving up for stop the hop package - so I might as well consider wating on springs to do all at once and try n save on labor that way

Still un sure on what spring combo will be right for me - I'd like to be low - have stock 19" CS wheels now - and wish to upgrade to 20" stagger later on ( or sooner ) with 9.5 fronts n 275s and 10.5 rear with 305s
So that will also affect how low I should go on spring combo to not "scrub" on the fenders
