It’s easy to tune a higher RPM warm and hot start. It’ll come out of it quick since there is a countdown timer based in temps, but the initial start RPM can be adjusted higher for the warmer coolant temps.

I think my Whipple stage 2 tune is like 1350rpm on cold start and 1250rpm on hot start. Hot starts make more noise compared to stock.
So I should contact with my tuner and he can do this? Im gonna order e85 tune from lund soon can i ask them to add this option?

Cold start is pretty loud but not worm start
Even know my car is pretty quiet comparatively speaking. Cold starts in my garage at 0345 sounds like like the biggest cammed, cutouts open, clanging and banging hotrod for about 15 seconds or so lol, and then damn near silent. I kinda cringe even know all my neighbors are pals, and dont care. I have one neighbor thats diagonal across from me, that Im pretty sure shit talks me on the neighborhood fb group lol

turn the pool noodles inside out and place them OVER the tail pipes rather than inside and it sucks the exhaust out more forcefully and loudly....

in all seriousness, i hear you, i love the cold start sound too, though i do quiet mine early morning. i wish i could make it warm start before 6 am and cold start after. but i assumed it has to do with richer fuel mixture on cold start, i could be wrong. if anything, your tuner (if youve had the car tuned at all) may be able to do something about it, though ive never looked into it. id contact them or any tuner to see if there is any option that also wont cause detrimental side effects.

FYI Once you go e85 your starts will be even quieter than they are on pump gas.

ive noticed this too. i ran E85 for a few months last year and then went back to regular gasoline until like 2 weeks ago, and damn i forgot how much of a difference it makes on E85. mine had a very sharp initial bark on cold starts on pump gas, now it just kind of stumbles to life. it's been cold here though, 30's for a few days, so I know that contributes to the harder E85 cold starts.
