Hi all thought I’d post this up and see if anyone would be able to help me out , 2017 gt with 120000 km
now I’ve read through a lot of threads about noises from transmissions in manuals and automatics but I don’t think they sound like the issue I have , at first i thought it was a loose bolt from the rear subframe bracing I installed but after some investigation I’ve narrowed it down to the transmission / driveshaft/ diff area (very helpful)
In the video it makes this awful metal on metal squeak sound when the car goes from reverse to drive and when I take off from a stop in traffic ,
Just wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions on what it could be just by the sound in the video , ( you can hear it after I go from drive to reverse) I’ll be going under the car in the next few days to see if it’s anything I can fix but if not I’ll have to take it to the mechanic to see if they can sort it out

Hello; I looked up images of the driveshaft to be sure. The drive shaft looks to have at least one universal joint (U joint). That would be my first place to look. I have had that sort of noise with a bad driveshaft before. Replacing a U-joint was a common DIY thing back in the day. If the drive shaft is a two piece check the carrier bearing for excess play. Be sure to mark the drive shaft if you take it apart so it goes back in the same way. Get it out 180 degrees andmight be out of balance.
