I wonder why they would promote two cars which are just about to go out of production?

Funny thing about the RS.. remember I ordered and cancelled, well in less than four months they've gone from a long waiting list to cars sat in compounds.

My dealer mailed me the other day offering a great deal on one if I changed my mind on my cancellation.
I noticed they are discounting RS's on the forecourt

Yeah, it's incredible.. only two months ago people were getting their new RS after a 10 to 12 month wait, now they're on forecourts.

They had quality issues with the engines.. cracked heads, cracked blocks and head gaskets. They even had head bolt issues.. strange that the US EB has none of these problems??

Word got out, Ford deny all knowledge as far as I can tell, so people cancelled, me being one of them..

People likened it to the 991 GT3 than suffered engine fires. No, it's nothing like that situation at all. Porsche stopped production and recalled EVERY car out there. They paid compensation to EVERY owner, like £1000 a month, and gave them all a Porsche loan car.. WORLDWIDE!!

Ford just say, "some early engines may have an issue",(incorrect), my dealer denies any knowledge of it at all!!

Check out Fezza on Youtube.. his engine went and Ford replaced it. They didnt give him a loan car and gave his car back covered in oily hand prints.

GGRRRRR!!

Since testing driving the Mustang and RS in September last year, I've kept an eye on the FocusRSoc.com forums, no idea why as never had any interest in the RS, but not heard much of all on their regarding failures?

I know you were getting both the RS and the Mustang though?

Yeah, it's like the owners are kind of in denial? There are very few failures to be fair, which is their argument. But, I am of the opinion that once word gets out on issues this serious, the "buyer beware" alarm bells start ringing and values drop.

Did you know the RS has also suffered rear diff problems, had 4 recalls for mapping and are getting oil leaks in the transmissions. Again, not all cars, but pretty poor in my opinion.

Same with any car really tho right?

Look at the GT with the oil cooler failure, it's a pretty bad situation to be in and includes a lot of cars but ford aren't doing much about it.
Yeah, it's wrong, but haven't they addressed the issue now? And they're sorting the problem and changing engines or flushing accordingly yeah? The part I find really annoying is the "Never heard of that problem mate" attitude.

Sorry guys, I've taken this thread way off the original subject.

I did hear the rear diff was the RS' weak point and that people were being advised don't take it over 380hp with a rear diff replacement.

Back on topic, I'd have definitely thought the police would be much better off with unmarked hot hatches than big BMWs or Subarus but a Mustang GT pursuit vehicle

They should have gone for non custom pack Grabber Blue GT's in my opinion. They just blend in everywhere you take them.
