I've been calling around for the past few days, and the lowest i was quoted for kooks 1 7/8 offroad install is 475. is that a decent price? would do it myself but no lift and jack stands and ramps would be to big of a bitch to do

I paid $440 for my install, $475 is definitely fair!

Absolutely no need to drop the subframe to install headers. Lift the engine up and remove the battery box, yes.

Paid $450 for mine + taxes. I have seen others quoted $800 & up. So yeah that's a good price.

Paid 400 for mine. The shop specialized in mustangs, took them about 4 hours.

After you do one set, it should take no more than 4 hours.

That price is very fair. Shops around here want up to $1,000. A guy I know will do them for $300... but that's the buddy discount. Another said $400, but he's a Ford Tech and can accomplish the job beating book time.
