Ill side with Beef; Yea. I was just going for the start and idle. Yes, it could be really bad if he inadvertently revved it on wrong tune or put it in gear and floored it. The ECM willll prolly compensate -especially just to idle. But, it will be ragged edge and way off if he then twiddles with throttle after the start or puts it in gear. I should not suggest this to someone I do not know. Stock tune on ID1XXX may be way rich.

Worse test would be current tune with stock injectors cause hed be way lean...

Other thoughts? Leak in fuel rail allowing drain back to tank? Cracked pump housing fitting or cracked or foreign object in pump check valve?

Wait, from your video its hard to tell are any cylinders firing during crank or all dead?
How is this not vapor in fuel system?

Is it possible ANY of the teflon tape you used on fuel rails was wrapped on threads in a way it could get into rails or injector?
All fire.. It starts up a few seconds after the start issue. Other than that it drives perfect. The starting issue is intermittent. Also this started to happen right after I installed my supercharger and flashed the new tune. No Teflon tape was used

I have had this problem in the past on my 2012 with a 2.9 Whipple I don't care what anybody says it is in the tune and the tuners know it

Could this have something to do with the IMRC valves? I believe they work as a choke when starting the car and I believe they can be told to be left Wide open in a tune. Shot in the dark but maybe an avenue worth venturing down???

Nope. Mine are gone and tuned out.

I'll be getting my Paxton tuned in person by LR next weekend, I hope I don't have the issue but I do I'm sure they can snuff it out.

Any up dates on this ? Just added id1000s and a Bap .. Yes it takes 2 or 3 seconds longer to start ... Seems like forever but it really only a few seconds more .. tunner told me he see this problem with all the id1000s he has installed no matter what S/C or turbos are used .. Mine is slow start and hunts for a few seconds to find the correct idle .. Car drive frigging great !!! Drivability is spot on , it's even better that my last tune with 52 injectors .. I did a little googling and found other brands of cars have the same slow start with the id1000 injectors ...

I don't like it but I think I can live with it ...But if a fix is found I would sure like to hear about it :)

Been having long start issues after my Paxton install and loading my Lund custom tune. I contacted Lund and he sent me a revised tune and I am still having issues. Seems to happen after the car has been sitting for longer than an hour after the car has been driven. I press the ignition button to pressurize the fuel system and then wait a second or two and then start it. All my current mods are listed below. Here is a link to a small video clip I recorded of it... Just seeing is anyone else is having an issue like this.

Yup my Procharger is doing the same thing with the ID1000s ..

I can tell you 1,0000000% it's not the injectors, it's the tune or something else.

Put a few miles on the car today ... Dead cold starts are great ...Warm starts just fine now also .. So far so good ... Maybe the PCM needed to relearn a bit ? My idle seems to hunt a bit at stop lights , nothing to bad it just varies about 50 RPMs ... Maybe more driving time will clear that up also ... MPGs are the same as the old tune with the smaller injectors ... :)

Give it some time.... It will happen again. Let the car sit for about 2-3 hours and start it again, the car will do the long starting issue

My long start issue is so bad sometimes it wont start at all and I have to hit the start button again. On cold starts she fires right up. If it's not the injectors, how can the same tunes effect only some cars?

Sounds similar to an issue Toyota was having with Flex Fuel Tundra trucks. Apparently, the ECU reads the fuel mix on power-up and some trucks, mine included, would have a long-start issue due to a hiccup in the fuel mapping....or at least that is my understanding. My truck always started but sometimes might take 2 cranks. An ECU flash was the cure in that case.

Been running mine for a good long time now and never had the long start problem .. I have the same BAP and ID 1000s as yours and no starting problems ... It has to be in the tune .. Mine did have a bit of a surge in the idle but my tuner fixed it the other day ..
