Oak Beach Inn. Or, at least it used to be Oak Beach Inn. Now it's just an empty parking lot off Ocean Parkway. It's just west of the Robert Moses Causeway. I think it's just Sunday mornings.

Ah, ok, yeah I know exactly where that is. Used to drive past it all the time.

Hey guys. 15 GT base here from Bay shore, Suffolk County. What's going on around the island before winter starts? Any shows or gathering?

Also, I will be ordering corsa extreme soon and was wondering any recommendation of a good mustang catered shop? I was planning on actually installing it on my driveway using my ramp but I don't have air compressor or power tools. I do have all other tools though and can probably get the job done in a day. If anyone's willing to help let me know. I'd rather pay you the labor charge [emoji16].

i went to realspeed in bohemia to get my catback installed. i think it was about $150 for the labor. might be less. took about an hour and a half.

How are they? Is it a performance shop or just a regular mechanic shop?

Thanks for the info, I'll give them a call if I feel that this job is too much to tackle on the driveway lol.

It's a mustang performance shop. From all I know, they do good work and have a good reputation.

I'm in West Islip and usually go just over the bridge to the OBI parking lot on Sunday mornings where there are 200+ cars of all types....Bellmore train station Friday nights and I believe there's a Thursday night cruse in Oakdale.

As far as the cat back system I had a friend in Brightwaters who has an automotive repair shop and he did the install for $100....It was much easier then I thought it would be.....so if your mechanically inclined and have the correct tools you could easily do it in the drive way with jack stands or backing up on a set of ramps and save the money if you don't mind being on your back for a hour.

Another option for Mustang work is Joe...don't want to say his last name but he was a lead tech for a big mustang shop here on LI. Has a lift in his garage and will do work out of his house. He's done some work for me, and been pleased with him. This is his email address (Assuming it's still good)

A lot of good info here. Thanks fellas for all the links and contact info. I will be sure to call and get a feel of where I feel comfortable.

I will also swing by OBI parking lot gathering one of these weekends.

I remember several years back there was a group of 370z guys that met up every other Friday night. It was like their escape from reality to talk cars and check out each others' mods etc.

I haven't seen many 6g Mustangs around my neighborhood but I do see a whole lot of Challengers.
