Captree this Sunday?

Anyone planning on heading out to Captree (or OBI if Captree started charging) this Sunday? It would be good to start getting to know our fellow LI S550 owners since we seem to be growing in numbers.

I plan to head out there around 9am but as I am still Stangless I'll be riding my orange and black HD Softail. I hope I can roll up up to someone with a Competition Orange car so I can see how it looks next to my bike.

I have not been out there this season yet but in years past I have noticed that local clubs or similar groups of cars had specific rally point's to meet. Any suggestions?

There was a CO GT there last week. The guy had a lot of the plastic engine parts sent out and they made them in carbon fiber. It looked great.
I might be able to get there again this Sunday. It depends on how far behind I am at work.

No doubt will do! I wont have another sunday off until late May but i can make it there from 6-7 am when nobody is there if you go that early on any sunday.

Mike...Except for last Sunday, I've been there the previous two and plan on going this Sunday, although I don't know when the state will start charging to enter, but whenever that is....that's when the crowd moves to OBI.....as it use to be memorial day but now it's earlier.

Jasson...It was nice to meet you, and see your '15, after you left a Magnetic GT parked next to me, also saw a White GT and another Guard GT come though the lot.

Nice to meet you also Tony. Too bad I had work. The exhaust on your car sounds perfect! I'm leaning towards getting the GT after checking out yours. Cant beat good old V8 soundtrack.

Avoid Levittown.

As for a recommendation, Chris @ Newins Bay Shore is great. I've dealt with him twice and he has been very good to me. Tell him "Frank" from Astoria sent you.

I got to OBI around 10am. Met a bunch of folks both on and off the forum. After looking at several magnetic stangs I really began to appreciate the color - If not for me being a freak for everything orange i would have strongly considered that with the either the red or saddle colored interior for my convertible.

One thing I did notice with the 2015 owners - they were all pretty chill, kicking back and enjoying the company and the attention the cars got. I am looking forward to my next visit hopefully with my car this time.

If anybody is looking for a Guard 2015 Base GT with Performance Pack and Recaro seats Levitown Ford will have it by the end of the month. Unfortunately I had to use the money for the car elswhere (life happens) and even trading in my ecoboost was not going to make it a reasonable payment for my budget. If you want more info pm me.

Have to recommend John Berto at Hempstead Ford, never had such a great experience with a salesperson at a dealership. Many factors came together that convinced me to make the purchase but if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have handed them the 500 bucks that day.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been pretty tied up at work this week. To make a very long story short, their service department is a nightmare. They lied to me repeatedly and gave me the run around, only to then accuse me of lying after all of their nonsense. When I then escalated the matter to the dealership, their sales manager initially promised to resolve the matter. He then disappeared and ignored all messages that I left for him. I even followed up with ford customer service (not the reps on this site) but it all fell on deaf ears. My job is super time intensive, otherwise I would have kept pushing and made life hell for everyone involved but it ultimately wasn't worth the time or effort. The entire experience almost soured me on Ford altogether but I love my car too much. However, I will NEVER deal with Levittown again and will do all that I can to make sure they lose business whenever possible. Absolutely disgusting dealership and a disgrace how they conduct themselves.
