Local Dyno Tune vs Lund Tune

Got full exhaust and intake sitting in my spare bedroom, now in the market for a tune.

Was looking at getting a Lund tune, but have heard that there's a world of difference between a canned and dyno tune. Is a dyno tune that much better? Does anyone have a local guy they swear by? How much is it for a dyno tune if I already have an SCT x4? Looking to purchase soon, so any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

A canned tune is something that you would get when ordering a standard SCT programmer. It will come with a general calibration. Lund will have you data log and send the logs in for tweeks to do tial in the tune. On the dyno or on the street with a tuner you use logs to dial in the tune. So it is pretty similar.

I wouldnt trust many local tuners on an S550

A standard Lund tune is canned for whatever mods you have. It's not a custom tune specific for your engine but it should be pretty close. If you do a remote tune with Lund it will be the same as a dyno tune.
