Has anyone done this yet? How is it filling up with E85 with one tank and refueling with 91 Octane? Any issues? Depending on feedback is whether or not I go for it.

Thanks

I have. I like it. When switching between fuels I start the car and hold it at 3,000 rpm for about a minute, let it idle for a minute, hold it at 3,000 for another minute and then it is good to go. On E85 AFR should be 10ish to 1 and 13ish to 1 on 93.

I've been running it for 2 months or so. I find that my cold starts take extra cranking but nothing significant. I've also noticed that the car has a finicky throttle until warm. The car idle hunts if you blip the gas when it's freshly started and is running rich. Other than that it's been great. Stout tune.

Been running the Liveenois flex tune for about 2 months. Car runs awesome and the guys at Livernois are really nice and helpful. As stated above when it's cold if you tap the gas the idle will hunt very slightly. I didn't notice longer start times on E85.

I will say one thing that's a negative with Livernois tuning...once you go past CAI, full exhaust, and a thermostat you're SOL. That's the limit of their email tuning ability. So if you're looking to mod past those mods I listed, I'd look elsewhere.

In their defense they want to give great service and a great product. If they feel that their standards can't be met for power adders via an email tune that's their prerogative. I'd rather have them keep their standards than give me a dicy tune.

Probably has more to do with the fact their device cannot datalog.

I have not seen anyone post 1/4 mile results with this tune. Tons of Lund flex fuel tune results, but I have not seen any Livernois results.

Does anyone running this tune have any 1/4 mile times to share?

i never heard anything bad about livernois but their flash device is what turned me off to them. that device needs a serious update, and the fact its the same price as an ngauge is perplexing..

This actually is not true. We have tuning available for far more than CAI, LTH's and catbacks. We can tune for your GT350 intake swap, FF if you add a power adder build that replicates a build that we have done here. So to generally say that you are SOL is not true. We also do have several clients that bring or have us transport their vehicles on our enclosed trailer to our shop.

Vehicle Transport Services
We realize that many of you are quite a distance from our Dearborn Heights, MI location and have interest in our services, but are not able to make the drive due to work and busy schedules.

We have a single vehicle enclosed trailer or a two vehicle trailer if there are two vehicles in close proximity to each other. With this service, you can trust that your car will make it to our location and back to you safely, and with much more power than it arrived with!

Cost of this service is very reasonable, but varies based on a distance and the availability of our trailer.

Please contact us at 313-561-5500 for information and pricing.

I stand by my statement where I specifically said EMAIL tuning. It is simply not an option past the mods I mentioned above.

Your tune is great and I absolutely LOVE how the car runs, but what I stated is fact. If I want to add a GT350 intake manifold or a supercharger, my car MUST be in your hands to get it tuned. Shipping the car or driving to your shop isn't really a feasible option for 95% or people. I can only imagine what shipping costs would be...

They are saying they can email tune for any combination they have tuned for in-house. So if you happen to have the same combination of parts that they have a tune for, you should be good.

I'd still be hesitant to get a SC tune without the ability to datalog and refine.

That's obvious that Livernois would want the car on site for FI tuning. They want to see EXACTLY how the car is reacting. I would be curious what my shipping cost would be. Driving to them from NJ would be a hike on my schedule.

As far as I was told, they couldn't do an email tune for anything past the mods I mentioned above. I remember asking Anthony about the GT350 intake and it wasn't supported through email tuning as of 2 months ago and it didn't sound like it would be. I'm positive Livernois would be able to tune for it in person, that's a given.

Livernois Motorsports can you clear this up? Do you guys support more than full exhaust, intake, and thermostat mods through EMAIL tuning?

I'd guess 3/4 of the FI cars on this site are remote tuned. With datalogging the tuner can see the same parameters they would if they were standing right next to the car.
