Little experiment with fuel/miles to empty today

Let the car get down to zero miles fuel wise-I know it is not good for the fuel pump, just did it once and it was not hot today-and put 15.6 gallons in the car. Owners manual says it holds 15.5 gallons so when it says you are empty you really are! Was wondering if there was a reserve but appears there is not.

Oh man thanks for that. I have to be careful next time. I almost ran out. I had 1 km left to empty. I also thought it would have reserve too.

When I had my 2011 GT delivered in Italy it showed up and said 0 miles till empty and I had to drive 5 miles to the nearest gas station. I think there's a bit of reserve, but probably not much. Same thing happened in my wife's Edge the other day when I picked it up from the dealer after getting some work done on it.

I might grab the gas can one day and find out for sure. Take a few gallons with me on the road, and run out.

Not sure. I guess carrying a can with a few gallons in the car will be a way to find out for sure.
