Me too! :clap2:Now this news is getting me excited...
You are a trip !! ..I wished you lived closer to Dallas. I will bet you are a hoot, when you have had a few beers :cheers:After much Googling, I think I've answered my own question. Yes, this means the cars are released for shipment.
What I found is that the first cars to be manufactured are part of a process called MP1 (Mass Production 1, or Job 1); which follows all the preproduction runs.
After the first couple hundred cars are produced, production stops for quality assurance checks and testing. The next step s the OKTB; which reads to be a final sign off by upper management to release the cars to dealers. Then, MP2 starts.
I also read that MP2 is scheduled after MP1 is complete, but can be delayed due to manufacturing issues, quality issues, etc. This would make sense, as the first 2016s were originally scheduled at the end of August for production; which would have been 1 month after the first batch of Shelbys (2015s) were produced. And, it also makes sense as to why the 2015s didn't ship and the 2016s kept getting pushed back...and, I realize that I'm now probably telling a farmer how to plant seeds. :-)
NOW, I'm getting excited!
Yes all cars that are built will ship at same time. There have been zero production GT350's to leave the plant. Even the 2015 GT350's are still sitting there.
Its like a NASA countdown where instead of starting with 10..9..8..FP said today that no 2015's have been released with shipping assignment dates yet.
OKTB must mean OK To Beyotche. So still waiting...
Amen to thatOK now that the flood gates have opened, hopefully my car will finally be pulled off material hold!
