Hey all. I have a 15 GT premium with 9 speakers. I want to replace the doors and rear 6.5's. Should i add a line out converter before or after the factory amp? I believe i read somewhere ill get better/clearer signal before the amp? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

You need to go before the factory amp.. you do not need a line out.. PREMIUM cars already have a good low level signal..

Listen to OEMRadio. I have a system in shambles right now due to the signal being pulled from after the AMP. OEMRadio removed my processing recently, but there is still some processing in the factory AMP. I am having my input moved to before the amp ASAP. My shop installed a FIX 82 due to using the signal after the factory amp, but to me that is a total crap idea. I do not know a ton about this, but to me, you can only do so much with a crappy signal coming in. In the end, I have the most expensive system I ever purchased to date, and as of right now, it is the worst sounding by far. I have had at least 10 builds of my own prior to this, and was an install over 20 years ago.

Man i cant believe i forgot to say that i will be adding a different amp to the door and rear 6.5's. Thats why i asked if i should tap in before or after the factory amp. I believe the 6.5 doors only have bass. Does the factory amp do that or the head unit itself? So lets say i get a set of coaxials for the door and use a line out before the factory amp and power them with a different amp. Will the new coaxials just have bass or will have its normal full range sound with tweeter?
