As the title says my line in is not working after I did the sync update. I have a base model so no mft here. I use the line in for my satellite radio. It worked before the update when I hit the media button. Now it won't register anything is plugged in. I tried turning the radio and the satellite off, unplugging the cable, and did a master reset on sync with no luck. Any ideas? I'm stuck...

Did you do a master reset or pull the battery cable for a minute to reset it?

I did a master reset. I called the sync help line and they were stumped too. She said to take it to a dealer since sync sounded like it was not working properly.

Hi Jpjr21,

Are you having issues with any other media source (e.g. USB and Bluetooth Audio), and did you try another AUX cord?

The cord is good and everything else works. Usb, and Bluetooth are good. The line in worked 30 minutes earlier before the update. I would hit media and it would go to it. After the update, it just cycles through bluetooth and the 2 usb ports. I also tried voice commands per the manual saying audio, then aux or line in and it doesn't understand the command. Is there a way to remove the update?

Did you try another device in aux port such as a phone? I know it sounds lame, but trust me,after 20 years of troubleshooting computer and network systems nothing is too lame.....:D

That's actually the first thing I did. I tried my phone and it did the same thing....nothing.

The line in has no sensing of whether something is plugged in. You should be able to select it whether or not a device is present. You need to visit the dealer.

Jpjr21,

The update cannot be removed once it's installed. You've done all the troubleshooting that can be done on your own. A visit to the dealer is needed.

Let me know how it goes.
