I was on my way to work this past Sunday and suddenly it felt like my 2018 Mustang GT with the 10R80 took a nose dive like it put the front brakes on. It cut the power to the engine for about 10 seconds after the RPM lowered. I hit the gas and it drove normal until I starts to shift into 3rd gear the engine cuts the power again. the wrench icon popped up to see service manual but no CEL. I pulled into a parking lot and had my car towed to the dealer. They said my clutch control solenoid valve was bad and sticking. they said my car was stuck in between 2 gears? its the Clutch B shift solenoid. I told them to go ahead and just fix it.
I got a called today and they said the repair was done but, they couldn't reprogram my PCM because 2 or 3 solenoids or something weren't being read or detected. they basically said I need to buy a new PCM. The technician believes that's what will fix it. I have not given the go ahead yet to continue the repair because, I wanna see if I have any other options or if anyone has ever experienced this before.
