So I recently broke the plastic eye that connects the clutch master cylinder to the clutch pedal and it made a click noise every time I pressed the pedal. So I got under there and pushed the piece back (still broken so will need replacement) on to the "holder." Now everytime I try and start the car I have to put my foot on the break and clutch and push and hold the button. After a minute of running it will enter Limp mode. And say transmission problem, of course I don't have a tuner I can read the code with so I'm a stuck point and next week will be taking it in to fix the broken piece. Is there anything I can do to temporarily remove the code? And how much should I expect to just replace the eyelit?

Thank you.

You can get an OBDII bluetooth reader and the torque app if you have a smartphone (maybe android only) and read and clear codes with that. If that app isnt available for IOS there are probably other ones.

Sounds like the limit switch on the clutch and/or brake pedal is not right. I would start by checking your brake light is in fact off when your foot is off the brake with the engine running.
There are 2 limit switches on the clutch pedal, one for the starter interlock and one for cancelling cruise control (when you barely touch the clutch while in cruise).

I suspect there is something amiss in that area.
