Listen to Harry. You better get one of these gems while you can if you’re wanting to buy brand spanking new. No doubt there will always be the used market but first ownership is a special experience with Ford Performance.
Good luck finding a HEP R under MSRP in the future after production is finito.

No kidding. Good thing I’m not in the market. I love my FPB 19 R that I got for 6k under MSRP.

:cwl: Has anyone noticed that the promo images released by Ford are reverse negative ? Lettering on the body stripes is backwards and, the steering wheel is on the right when one looks through the windshield.

What makes you say that? My prediction is that it will depreciate but at an incredibly low rate, and will appreciate after a few years. Although, if the economy comes back strong, I can see them trading above sticker used.

Yes, and it annoyed me so badly that I had to flip the image around in photoshop in order to fix my wallpaper on my PC at work.

Let’s just say there will be 3500 total R’s produced over the 6-year GT350 run... let’s also project that there may be 350 HEP R’s. That’s 10% of the total R volume dedicated to the heritage of the GT350. what makes you think that a heritage model with that kind of inherent value would go under MSRP?

I never said anything about trade-in value... this is merely a first-sale projection.

we've established they have offered the R's in 20 colors in 6 years. so in theory the average color should represent 5%.

I don’t think this is your average color... it’s a one-year, heritage scheme that transcends paint...

the HEP cars have their own badging color, a separate certificate and not every dealer was allocated a HEP car.

For comparison, look at the 2005-6 GT. The heritage cars command a higher premium than the regular GTs.

I agree with every you said but I think the 350 is different. A HE GT is a totally different color scheme that you can tell apart from a mile away. Yes the HEP has blue badges and vinyl above the rockers but its not a totally different departure. I agree that when collectors begin to educate themselves 2020 with be the most sought after year and will focus in on the HEP's. I agree that the HEP's will carry a premium of some kind but between the 350's and 350R's they are making quite a few and it seems like the sheer volume is watering them down somewhat.

Of the 4,038 2005-2006 Ford GTs, only 343 Heritage units were built. That’s ~8.5% Heritage cars of the total production.

I would surmise that Ford will keep the HEP R numbers to < 10% total R production given the order window... as we are currently around 206 HEP R’s now.

They won’t drop below MSRP for an initial sell, and I would suggest that they will hold their values well, and above other R’s and 350s.

Having a difficult time deciding between a New 2019, non-R, Discounted to $59K or the same dealer has a 2020 HEP also non-R, leather, selling at MSRP, $66.5K. I'm not thinking of it as an investment and plan to keep it a long time, but I see on the spreadsheet there are now 1,764 HEP GT350's VIN's listed. Is the consensus still that the HEP will hold its value better long-term, so saving about $7K now buying a New 2019 it will depreciate more and worth it to spend $7K more to get the New 2020 HEP ?
I don't think the salesperson realized the 2020 they have is an HEP, he told me they have a New White 2020, no pictures yet, he sent me the VIN so I looked it up and see it's the Wimbledon White and VIN matches the HEP spreadsheet on here so that's why I think they're selling at MSRP and not doing any ADM.
*Edit, I was reading the spreadsheet incorrectly, I saw line #1764 at the bottom of the GT350 HEP tab, but I see the rows are not sequential, there are 398 actual VIN's.

Not sure where you are getting 1,764 HEP GT350 VIN's issued to date as I only come up with 398 VIN's issued for these HEP GT350's.

I realize that $7,500 is a lot of money but given that these cars are the very last of the 6 year model run along with that car being a rare HEP GT350 it would be a very easy decision for me subject to you being comfortable with the extra cost at this time.

Looking back a few years from now I suggest that you would be very happy that you went with the 2020 HEP GT350 and not the discounted 2019 GT350 and hope that you might agree with my comments and logic??

Thanks for confirming, exactly what I was thinking, worth the extra $ to get an HEP, If I got a 2019 would always be second-guessing myself on the HEP.

I see now, I was reading the spreadsheet incorrectly , I saw line #1764 at the bottom of the GT350 HEP, but I see the rows are not sequentilal so there are 398 actual VIN's there as of today.

My HEP R just got Sent to Plant. My dealer actually told me a couple days ago, so thumbs up to them for being on the ball.

Looks like this is actually happening. OH YES!
Just joined this forum. Purchased HEP 350 - L0029 on 5/15/20. Have had it Ceramic Coated, added FP oil separators. Got the front splitter lettering (Guardsmen Blue) coming from Zimcraft. All around awesome car!
VIN 1040.
