Lighted mirrors on a BASE car

If you follow the wiring for the illuminated door sills that you can buy from Ford it shows here to tap into the wiring on the passenger side for the ambient lighting. You can hook into that up for the puddle lamps. I will likely do that since I have already run that wire from one side to the other.

Door glass down to get the 2 bolts out and the nut. window UP to get to the wiring pull the big clear plastic on the bottom section back and reach all the way up there to get to the connector.

I messed with the mirror tonight. Now I understand why My Ford Rep says there are so many mirrors. Told me there are 12. Of course that means 6 per side.

This mirror I bought has everything.
Heat
BLIS
Puddle
Turn
Remote
Not sure how they get memory but wonder if this one is one of those?

So there you have it. I will get a passenger side one with puddle and turn signal and hook them up. I already have the wiring figured out for the puddle lamp since I added the lighted door sills already. I have that power wire right there in the door are for that. I just need to snake it through the door bellows and get it pinned into the connector. Time to get back with my Ford parts guy.

Not sure how to get that working or if it needs more electronics. I ordered the passenger side mirror and will have these installed in a few weeks.

Any updates on the side mirrors project? Been wanting to upgrade my 15 v6 base mustang mirrors. Mainly for the projection and side markers.

I'm waiting on a passenger side mirror to pop up used on eBay for less than $280 that the seller has more pictures of the mirror so I can see a defects. Last one I bought I thought I was getting the right mirror and I got a European one. Its huge.

Haha yeah they are nearly the same size as the fusion mirrors. I even emailed starkey products to try and make a wiring kit. Hope you or starkey products can make this happen. Keep us updated. Thanks

Btw maybe this is a helpful tip. I seen a forum on here how a guy added the signal lights through the heat extractors from the 2016 mods. And I was thinking on how he did it. He tapped into the front signal lights with his own wires. So I thought...can we buy the specific wire needed let's say for the signal markers and run them from the mirror through the body tied down to some wires and tap into the front signal lights? And as for the pony projector...we tap the wire from the mirror and run it into and tap the Door sill illuminated wires? I don't know if this will work...will it need to be grounded? Will those wires need to be taped up with special tap since it's going into the engine bay? But it's an idea on how to make those two things work since all mustangs come standard with electric mirror adjustment wiring.
