I recently realized there wasn't just a mustang or 2 in my life. Here is my list of owned Mustangs and a short history about them. The color and models of the pics attached are exact to what I had too.
My first car:
1984 Mustang GT 5.0 fuel injected automatic:
Earned my respect. I drove the shhh out of it. I went through a gas tank every other day. I got it used in 1990 with 75k miles. It had over 200k when the motor needed to be replaced.
1990 LX 5.0 Hatchback automatic:
I don't remember losing a race in this one. That's when I learned more about rear end gearing. Automatics had 3:08 gears while manuals had 2:83 I believe. Anyhow, any stock manual never could get me. Good times until some enemies used a pellet gun twice on it.
1992 LX 50 Hatchback manual:
First car I bought myself after high school. Lowered it on eibach springs, the pony stock wheels were polished, and it had 3:08 gears. I had a beater Hyundai something to commute in. Then one day at the mall some knucklehead cut me off and I hit a tall sidewalk hard. The suspension wasn't right after that. I traded it in for a new Jetta. That's when I ventured out to be a slut and try everything until I finally came back a few months ago.
1989 LX 5.0 Hatchback manual:
Bought it for $2k in 2003 from a kid who got it cheap from the first owner who couldn't drive it anymore. It was completely stock and a great canvas for my track duty ideas that never happened. I kept thinking about how much it was going to cost me to prep it and found I'm better off with a new one.
1996 GT 4.6 manual:
Another car I bought as another attempt to build a project car or just a cheap beater to get my fix of a sports car. I bought it in 2012 and sold it after a few years. I didn't want to blow money on it again because I preferred a new one.
Now I have the 2017 Saleen and I couldn't be happier.
If you guys have a history, post up. I'd like to hear your story.
