To be honest, What about the rich kids who get mummy and daddy to buy them a car, not just a Mustang, more like the 17 year olds in rari's etc, who have no income etc etc.... How do they get fined? :lol:

As a public we elect councillors and MP's and even the police.

I would love to know if the majority public "wants" draconian speed limits and enforcement.

Assuming the public doesn't want this then why do our elected representatives force it on us.

Impossible, if the car is in the kids name, and they have no incone, they can't then push it onto the parents, I assume they'd have to go back to default's which they've done before of go through courts.

I'm sure there will be some forcing measure. Minimum fines likely are still on the books. (i.e. 100 lbs fines or 1 week salary which ever is more.)

Probably the £100 lol... Looks like I better claim I have no job... Jokes, I've never been caught speeding, and rarely do it to be honest.

Fining people for any motoring offence is a lottery.

Ack in the 90's I was caught speeding, on an empty three lane motorway, dry, sunny conditions, on a Sunday afternoon. Got pulled in, I was clocked at 99.36mph, in an Astra van!

Anyway, caught bang to rights no cause for complaint. Good cop/bad cop scenario, bad cop says, 'start saving up now sonny', (I was older than him). Anyway, got a letter in to plead guilty or not guilty, in my nativity, I just thought it was a normal NIP, never noticed it was from the local county court (in Scotland we have, County, Sheriff and High courts), so plead guilty.

Two weeks later I got another letter in, fined £600 and three points :(

Anyways, a couple of weeks later another 'offence' was brought to my attention, here's where the lottery is, two policemen, on a NON emergency call, speeding, blue lights going, mounted the pavement and killed two pensioners (this was in Aberdeen btw), now, this was a multiple of offences, not least, two people were unlawfully killed. The courts verdict? £300 fine and 6 points for the driver, none of them even lost their job.
