Question for the guys who have installed the Lethal Performance H-Pipe. Does the end that the red arrow is pointing to slip over or slip inside the stock exhaust tube? I don't see any flare-in or flare-out on that end like there is on the front end which slips inside the stock exhaust pipes for a tight fit.

I'm assuming both ends are clamped, and the end with the red arrow doesn't need to be welded to the stock exhaust tube?

The stock pipe will butt up against the H pipe. I just made sure that both pipes were in the clamps about the same length.i don't think there any exhaust leaks. This was the only thing I was worried about. This was a very easy install. Cutting was no big deal.

yea the front is the only part that slides in. the rear just sits flush with the rest of the exhaust and you just divide the clamp with half on hpipe and the other half on the stock pipe.

Kind of disappointed now hearing the ends only butt up against each other. I think a slip fit on both ends would have been a better way to go when clamping. Thanks for the info guys.

I have it installed and the clamps are great seals and wont leak if you clamp it correctly if that is what you are worried about.

Yeah, that is of some concern - along with not having the exhaust tips stick out the same distance if the cut isn't made perfectly. Because with the butted up ends design, you can't make any in or out adjustments like you could with a slip fit between the H-Pipe and stock tubes.

The clamps are the same size as the one that connects your headers to your existing midpipe so you can look and see it does give you some flexibility for tolerance.

You could buy two couplers flared at both ends to give a better seal, would also need four clamps.

Guess I could take the H-pipe to a muffler shop and have them flare the ends so the stock pipes would slip inside the H-pipe tubes. Would have to adjust the cut-off point of the stock pipes to allow for the correct overlap. Guess I don't like the idea of just butting the ends together, but maybe the clamps included make it a mute point.

I just did the install on sunday and it was no problem just mark the pipe with a marker so you know you are splitting the clamp half and half. I think you are just over thinking it man.

I installed one too. Photos and sound video can be found at link below. I followed the instructions to cut from the weld and found I did have to cut pipe side a second time to even the tips. The clamps work great. No issues, no complaints.

Yeah, probably am over thinking it. Thanks for the info guys, and the link to the install in post above.

A 3 dB increase is twice as loud, so at 4K RPM is went from 89 to 97 which is nearly 3 times as loud. But 3 times 'quiet' is still not so loud.

I think the increase in sound is pretty good for just removing the resonator ... sounds more deep tone and throaty.

You know I was almost set on going with just an h-pipe/resonator delete but in the end I decided l didn't want to do it then decide after the fact it wasn't enough or it wasn't the sound l really desired. So even though the Corsa touring was expensive it provides the exact sound l was after plus l got the nice big 4.5" black tips. One and done and so glad I did it.:p

The OEM setup on all 2005+ mustangs use clamps at that connection so we figured that would be the best route to go as well. We also don't use cheap band clamps like some companies do. The ones we get you'd think had gold in them for how expensive they are.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Jared - thanks for the info. So the 2005+ Mustangs use these clamps on stock exhaust that only has the tubes butted together instead of slipped into each other?

I know the same clamps you guys supply with your H or X pipes look the same as the ones used on the front end of the stock resonator, but the pipes slip together at the front end of the resonator joint.

I just want a solid leak tight connection ... and not have to fight it much to make the exhaust tips come out even with each other and aligned with the rear fascia cut-outs. But sounds like the guys who chimed in here had good installation results, so that answers some of my concern.
