I had the Heartthrob H pipe installed and am totally happy with it...a great exhaust mod that really enhanced the sound that I was hoping for.

After the initial install though, it seems as though the exhaust tips want to continually creep down. I have loosened the H pipe rear clamps, pushed the mufflers and tips back up again and then re-tightened the clamps but, after some driving, the tips tend to creep lower again. Anyone else had this situation after an H pipe install and were you able to permanently fix it? Any suggestions? TIA

Been there done that. You need a tack-weld where the muffler pipes meet the H-pipe.

There is just too much weight trying to torque that connection for a clamp to hold very well. Add a quick tack weld and you're good. Should be a 5 minute job for somebody with a welder.

Appreciate your suggestion, particularly since you have had the same situation. Will head back to the muffler shop next week. Many thanks for your help.
