Also, I didn't get the resistor (I think that's what it's called) partly because I don't mind the double click that happens on the inside (flashers outside are normal, inside has a double flash) and I had one die on me after a couple years.

The small LED's fit fine, but the bigger ones that turn yellow don't. They pop in but it just doesnt hold them well enough once you start driving.

Are you positive you pushed it in all the way?
The only reason I ask is because when I thought it was in it still had one more push.

Double check this by lightly pulling it out of the socket and see if it comes out, otherwise if it is sturdy it should be fine.

Yea, I attempted to reinstall it and it was just falling out now no matter how I pushed it in.

Man, I thought I was the only one. Had the same thing happen this morning. I had a fun time getting the bulb out of the housing. I went ahead and shimmed on of the sides and that made it nice and snug. Don't expect any more issues after that. I also had to really make sure the contacts lined up as they were shorting out. Easy fix, but kinda disappointed it happened.

Changed out all the lights on Saturday.

Vanity - Took a little time to do the first one. I wasn't sure how and didn't want to break the cover. Once I got the first one out the other 3 were quick and easy. Cover pops off and easiest way for me was a flat-head at the bottom, inside corner and carefully pull it out. You can see the light there. Not sure if it can be removed there because when I saw the screw behind the cover I unscrewed those to fully remove the front cover.
Light pops out and new one in very easy.
When you say the bottom, inside corner can you explain that a little more? I tried several places and it seemed like I was going to break something.

It's definitely not a safe feeling but I had no damage and after the first one the other 3 were faster as I had more confidence.. There is enough flex.

The side away from the mirror has the part that slips into slots on the frame.
The side towards the mirror has the part that clips in.

Using a small flat head or similar tool, target the bottom corner closest to the mirror. Gently insert and pry that corner up. Once you get the first clip up the rest is pretty easy.

Hope that helps.

In the video they have posted for the "switchback" it looks as if they are too bright and over power the front of the car drawing all your attention to the lights. Can you all post pics or videos please?
I took a couple pics. My phone is usually pretty good for quick point and shoot but the pics I took are useless to you. All lights are on and there's way too much glare.

Anybody checked this led reverse light bulb by late model restorations

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-3157LEDC/2015-Mustang-LED-Reverse-Light-Bulb

They said it has 850 lumens light output and for $22.99
as suppose to Diode Dynamics XP80 (510 lumens) for $45.00
Anyways both are out of stock at the moment.
Their bulb is not actually emitting 850 lumens. Our figures are accurate measurements, not marketing terms, so they appear lower than others. Our bulbs will be much brighter. Please see my reply to this question here, and let me know if you have any further questions.

Yes, we came to the same conclusion, they pop right off if you get the right spot. You want to use a very small tool to pull back on the bottom corner on the inner side. Here's the install video!

I got the LMR reverse light, it's nice. Slightly brighter than stock. I'm sure not as bright as the high lumen DD bulb though. If max brightness is what you are after get the DD bulb.

I am another having problems with the larger bulb staying in for the switchback turn signals. The factory bulb has a little nipple at the base of the bulb that pushes on some metal at the bottom of the connector. When the metal at the bottom is pushed, 2 jaws clamp down on a ridge that is on the thin part to the bulb. The factory bulb has a very noticeable ridge for the jaws to catch on. The LED bulbs are missing the bottom nipple and the ridge on the sides are about 1/4 the size of the factory.
