Anyone else have trouble installing the diode dynamics led bulbs for the turn signals. THis had turned into a disaster. I installed one, or so I thought and it popped off the end when i plugged it back in and is now loose in the housing. So now i am going to have to take it to someone, its probably going to cost a small fortune to remove the damn bulb. It did not go in easily. I swear the bulb is not the right size despite what they say. I spent 10 minutes trying to get it locked into the socket. thought i had it, confirmed it worked, plugged it in and it popped out. The 2nd one I could not even get in. Really frustrated and a little pissed right now.

Yes i did. I spoke with someone there, he indicated he had similar issues. Had a customer who could not get them installed, so they live close drove over and mike from dd lost 2 bulbs in the housing and had to fish them out with a coat hanger. He said try installing them really gently, which i then tried and that did not work either. I finally gave up after the 2nd one snapped. So i have one floating around in the light housing and one broken. The small lights installed fine and the reverse light installed fine but i really dont see how there are the right bulbs for these sockets.



Edit: I just want to follow up by saying that I really don't like calling companies out online. But when you have a product that you pass off as 1) being a direct replacement 2) being easy to install and even having a video on youtube that shows how easy it is supposed to be to install but the process is not even close to what is presented and your own staff ran into real trouble with the install maybe you need to be called out a little.

I'm installing all my interior (vanity, map, glove and trunk) and exterior (reverse, side markers and flashers) tomorrow. I hope I don't have the problems that marjen had.

I didn't get the tool that others mentioned even though I bought the kit and I still haven't seen a video on the vanity install.

The packages need necessary information as to what is in the package.

Top of the picture is 3 packages of 194s, two are HP5 one is HP3, Had to look at pictures on the DD site to figure out what was in the Package.

Bottom Left two Packages are 921s...Had to figure out on the site which one is the XP50 & HP36...A warning is on the XP50, if I install it in the wrong location then I would have trouble.

The bottom right two were not marked as well, had to make sure what I ordered was what I received by also having to look at pictures on the DD site.

Come on mannn-->DD Make sure you include what is in the package-->:doh:

yeah happened to me also, resulting in multiple shipping costs (which is $15 x 2 for Canada).
I used DD on my Genesis and they were good at first. Now things seem to be getting messy.

Got an email back indicating that they are redoing the bases for the turn signal lights. So I assume I am not the only one with issues. No time table on when they will be in.

From the email "We are currently working on getting these 7443 bulbs re-based to resolve this issue (no ETA as to when they will be in stock), so a new bulb would unfortunately, not result is resolving this."

They offered me a refund. But i need to fish the damn bulb out of the housing :(

There should have been labels on the back of each item saying what it is, and the packing sheet lists it as well! However, I know it can be a little confusing, and some labels might have been missing as we were trying to ship out as quickly as possible this past week. We are working on new packaging that has everything contained and labeled, but it is a little difficult right now, especially when you get so many bulbs! You can always reference the sizes printed on the bulbs themselves, and our site.

Just shoot us a message! We are happy to combine shipping costs for two orders as long as we haven't paid for the shipping. Or you can simply email us to add something to an order. :thumbsup:

It's quite strange, as we really didn't have any problem at all in our 15 Mustang. I installed them myself, they just popped in and stayed in just fine. I wish we did, because we would have been able to correct the issue before launching the product. :( It seems that very, very small differences in the socket tolerances are causing some to fall out, while others stay in just fine. We are remolding the base connector to eliminate any possible issue, and of course, we will be happy to exchange for anyone who is having issues. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please be assured that we do stand behind our products, and we will gladly replace the bulbs if anyone would like upon completion of the remolded base connector.

I got an email from them a little bit ago. I will probably wait out the replacement. Like I said the other ones all worked fine, no install issues with those. It was only the turn signal ones that I had an issue with, and it was frustrating at the time :D Seems they are going to take care of the issue and got new ones out.

Yes, I know it is very frustrating, but again, please rest assured that we do stand behind our products, and we take care of our customers. :thumbsup: I just really do wish we would have had the issue on our car, because we could have avoided the frustration here in the first place. Very disappointing.

I ordered a lot of stuff from DD for my Genesis. There were never any problems and If there is a problem, I am sure they will fix what ever it is. DD is one of the few that I trust. Don't worry, they will make it right.

on my genesis on light was defective, which was replaced. The switch for the flashers had fit issues and died after 2 years.
