Hey guys. I have been working on my car the past couple of weeks. Last time I was under the car I noticed that the passenger side rear shock was leaking. There was a small puddle under the shock and you can see that the bottom of it is oily. My question is - would this be covered under warranty? I purchased an extended warranty through flood ford in January so I am hoping this is not considered a maintenance item but I am not sure. Secondly, I am taking the car in for an alignment on Thursday - if the rear shock needs to be replaced, would I need another alignment in the rear? If so, I will not pay the shop to do the rear alignment at this time - I would just have them do the front alignment for now. Thanks for the help!

If I had to guess, it should be covered. I have a '19 F150 in the shop as I type for a leaky front strut, which is covered.

A shock shouldn't require an alignment on the rear.
