It may not be because of the transmission itself, but due to the Cashmere stitching on the shifter. Without all of the pieces for a manual kit, you can't build it. Or,it could be product steering. Of the first 500, 266 were ordered with manuals, if they want to get some more autos done, you constrain the manual, and fence sitters will take the auto when the dealer calls the prospective customer and says, we have allocation for the LE, but we're constrained for manual, so I can get you scheduled for an Auto. Do you want that? 90% will say yes in a heartbeat. They get the LE before Christmas, and the guy has an out as to why he bought an auto.you would think that it would be a constraint on all mustangs with this transmission, not just the LE
This is relevant to my question today. I'm a fence-sitter. I ordered a 6sp, then I changed it to an AT. dealer wants to know by 3pm EST today because he believes the car will be scheduled this week. I'm having a hard time deciding now and I feel that I will be happy with either and regret both....It may not be because of the transmission itself, but due to the Cashmere stitching on the shifter. Ask your dealer if your order is effected by the constraint, if it is follow your heart. If not, follow your heart. If you think you may sell it in the future, I'd go with the Auto, but that's me.This is relevant to my question today. I'm a fence-sitter. Do we have any updated order info for LEs, or is it still 266-6speeds and 234 autos?
Help me M6G: Which trans do I want?!
My dealer said that my build date was 9/22/2014 (for my LE WW Auto)....I keep asking for an update....says he will know more next week (as to it's status). No window sticker shows up on any of the links. I was able to use the FordEtis site and found my VIN # there.....can anyone translate the build date: 30.11.0002
If it were me I'd get the auto because of the obvious PP /Auto but it will bring more money as a collector. Dealers like autos, people with money buy auto's.Help me M6G: Which trans do I want?!
I would wait six more months to get a ManualIf it were me I'd get the auto because of the obvious PP /Auto but it will bring more money as a collector. Dealers like autos, people with money buy auto's.
Does anyone have a clue when the LE's with a vin # for over a month now ... will be scheduled to build? Will we get priority since our vin#s have already been assigned if there are no constraints?
