With 3 miles of hood to soak up an impact, that seems about right! Lol.

If it makes you feel any better, juar wrote an estimate on a 2010 fit that was struck head on at speeds of atleast 50mph. Driver was an old woman who for some reason was driving the wrong way down a busy divided highway. The car did very well, cabin was intact and the driver (again 80+ years old) was injured but survived. I unfortunately dont know what she hit, i suspect it was comparable in size as IIHS has already shown that small cars vs big cars are always messy.

The cars on that list are small, except Camaro and Challenger, so they are the most likely to have the least crash protection.
