Unfortunately no.... The custom text option on shapeways is pretty new so currently they only allow one line of text.

I think the issue is the black ring is to thick.

Perhaps, just a thought, since it appears the black ring is thick to accommodate the red pins is to eliminate the plastic pin idea completely. Instead have no pins but a thin hole through it and use a very slim metal pin line the thickness of a needle.

Then you have the support for the hinge and can eliminate probably 1/2 the thickness of the black ring at least.

The old ring was 5mm thick for the prototype. The new ring available now is only 3mm thick. Thanks for the suggestion! I will take that into consideration.

If this helps, yes its a MS rudimentary hand sketch in 2 min, but the black hole is tiny and the line in the overview is a metal pin.

Then the base can be even thinner too since the pin holds the hinge and you would only need a tiny hole in the black ring too.

You could slim the depth in half probably. Make it a lot more sleek looking
button.webp

All good suggestions guys! You have realize though that I am limited by the abilities of Shapeways.... Their material needs to have some thickness to it or it will just break. Not good for a long term solution. The new ring size and in fact the entire cover assembly is about as thick as the old prototype ring. A significant reduction in thickness without compromising its strength.

Hey svtfever,

Just added the ability for the user to upload a custom image!!! If you want your Master ARM then do it up in word or another program and save it as an image file! Nice little work around I have found.

Yes... With the prototype the LED did not show through even with the cutout. Removing the cutout allows for more room for a custom image and cleans up the look I think.
