Hi everyone, i need some advice. I just installed a JLT and 91 Tune from VMP. For some reason in D mode Tranny it drives fine but in D mode it short shifts out of 1 to 2nd and it bangs off the rev or pauses going from 2nd to 3rd. Really weird never did that before. Is that normal? Ive contacted them but wanted to get an idea if anyone else has gone through this.

Sounds like just need to data log and send to them and they can send you back a revision.

It seems like S mode tranny is now manual unless you dont shift. Otherwise shifts are better then before and car runs strong. Were before the tune it would shift on its own in S mode. Either way gotta log it, seems weird it would do that after a tune and the tuner has not mentioned it would only be manual mode unless i dont shift it then hick ups and shifts. I may have to put some miles on it as well to re adapt.

Sorry but you really picked the wrong tuner. They need to retune the shift schedule

Ive just been disappointed. First i got the wrong tunes and now the shifting in sport mode is messed up. I was gonna load there e85 tune but now im seriously doubting there tune. Now she is coming back telling me to datalog it and she thinks tc even though its off i havent completly turned it off. This is for sure not a TC issue at all its just a very laggy or delayed shift going from 2-3rd gear and you feel it slowing down as it does it. She hits me up again today asking me to log it. Now gotta barrow a friends laptop to get it datalogged. Called just now instead of them looking at the tune making sure everything is right another person says im sure the tuner looked at the tune before telling you to datalog it so you just need to datalog it. Basically gotta go looking for a laptop. Its too bad they had great customer service and did good on my 15 mustang and they completely dropped the ball on my 19 Gt.

Finally fixed the 91 tune. I think because the engine rpms were not set to 8k and tranny was maybe two rpm limits it bogged the motor between shifts. The car now revs to 8k and pulls hard and nice shifts gotta try e85 once im empty and load that tune.

Well i couldnt get a e85 tune sorted with vmp and now to pbd and cant gt flex fuel tune nor and e85 tune sorted after many revision and data logs just at my end. Im on my 3rd tank of e85 at %*e80+and still car idles horrible and codes popping up. I gotta be the only one going through this with my luck. I did idle and rev dat log for the hell of it and sent it off for the e85 and who knows im so pissed.

Have you considered putting oem intake back on? 18+ with just a drop in flows great. Guarantees smoother maf curve, better idle and lower iats. Flex tuning is dependent on that smoother maf and less idle variation. Intakes like jlt are much more turbulent but if doing a straight e85 tune this should be less critical vs a flex tune. When I was testing the larger Steeda closed box when it was first released on my flex I found this to be extremely true. My tuner confirmed as well. Swapping back to stock box and all was right as rain.

Im gonna tell that to my tuner and hopefully we can work this out because at this point its pretty frustrating. I appreciate the advice
