Hi,

I'm not much of a car guy so I'll try to explain this as best as I can and hope to get some suggestions here.

I have a '16 GT with auto transmission, non-PP

I've noticed that when in sport mode, there have been around 4-5 times where I will initially accelerate to around 20-30mph, and let go of the throttle to coast. The car will then jerk back and forth around multiple times: kind of like when u keep sharply tapping the throttle. Seems like it is at the point where the car down shifts or is trying to down shift??

A friend suggested it may have to do with throttle mapping - I have no idea what that means and was unable to find anything on google about a similar issue.

Any thoughts or any others with similar issues? Is this even an issue or is it a normal occurrence

I haven't really noticed this in the default drive mode, yet

When you put it in sport mode it holds gears on deceleration. So as you let off the accelerator, the engine will start to slow the car down. When that occurs, the load on the driveline changes to the opposite direction. Therefore, every slight bit of lash in the axles, ring & pinion, yokes, driveshaft, and transmission all stack up and may create a slight "bucking" feeling. It's completely normal, nothing to worry about.

like previously stated, sport mode is tuned to hold a gear. If you're letting off before it shifts into the next gear it is going to do that. to remedy it, let out to about half throttle or less for a couple seconds and it will up shift.
