Thanks, I looked into those. Are they compatible with GT350? any issues with using them?Dude, do yourself a favor and get a set of Steeda jacking rails.
How do you change the oil in your M5?Thanks, I looked into those. Are they compatible with GT350? any issues with using them?
I already have 600 miles and was planning to change the oil this weekend and may not be able to wait for that stuff to arrive. Where exactly can I jack the car up and place the jack stands?
Before anyone suggests the rear differential, there is no way I am doing that![]()
M5's oil pan is very different (similar to other BMWs), the drain plug is angled at the bottom in a way that even when the car is not on a flat surface, you drain 99% of the oil. I have race ramps and thats what I have used for many years. How do you change the oil in your M5?
What do you mean? Aren't you jacking from the frame of the car in the underneath? Are you saying you will be damaging the frame? Is it just scratches/visual or do you think the area will eventually be bent etc?Without jacking rails you will damage the underside of your car over time, it's inevitable.
Order the rails and wait until they arrive to change your oil. It's the right thing to do.
