How is everybody else finding the snow in their stang? Mine can't move more than a couple of inch... pretty much what I expected from RWD and P Zero's.

So today I'll be driving the XR4x4 :ford:

I had enough problems in the snow with a FWD van, my golf was a lot better.

I drove mine last winter through the worst winter in Boston's recorded history. With winter tires and using snow mode it handled the slop as well as a FWD on all seasons.

So far this year we have only had a couple of dustings.

So who's actually given the wet/snow mode on their mustangs a go? Come on some of you have to be brave enough to do a 15mile journey and report back!

I tried mine last night when it started snowing and then later when it had snowed and I needed to get out.

In the first instance it worked fine, it dulls the throttle response so you are less likely to break the backend free but it doesn't seem to do anything with the ABS/DSTC/TCS which is a shame because in snow they are all but useless.

In the latter instance it just meant that the car sat there, with my foot to the floor doing nothing at all (not even spinning the wheels)

Did a 100 mile round trip in mine yesterday (Wigan-leek and back)

Other than my own nerves it was flawless am still trying to adjust from the rs5

Just take it easy and slow down before entering a bend but don't put the power down while in the bend either lol

Worst part was getting out of my estate at 6am it was like an ice rink

Long as you dont bash the hell out the new alloys, these standard black wheels are like a small lottery win for the refurb guys

Had to leave for work at 5am this morning. Was really looking forward to the 30 mile journey on empty roads.

Bloody weather, had to use snow mode ie my old BMW 323 e36 and even that was hard work on an ungritted A25.

Ha Ha, did the same (although not 5am), my old BM is currently my "snow mode" as well, as it has the winter tyres on. Keeps a few miles off the Mustang as well.

Pretty cool having an XR4X4 by the way WAXDADDY

Very nice motor. I'm keeping an old A4 Quattro for winter (and trips to the tip)

Still took the Mustang out though. Snow and wet settings are good. It's a pain that it defaults to normal when you get out.....as in another post, snow and wet should be the UK default :)

It's going to be 10 degrees and dry next weekend. Yeah

I stuck it in snow mode last night as it was wet and close to freezing. Everything felt fine.

This morning I was a lot more confident and was giving it some beans especially when the guy in the loud exhaust Renault tried to race me from the lights.

Wasn't until I got home that I realised that the car defaults to Normal mode :D
