So car didn't start, no crank/turn over. Battery connections seemed fine and lights etc working. About an hour later it fired up but with a spanner. Got the AA to do a diagnosis. There was an error code with CAN communication with ECU, so need to take to Ford.
Anyone else had this issue????

Seen this a couple of times and its both been down to a high resistance (relatively) in the earth feed from ECU to the battery. In Nissans they use the chassis and this often leads to poor connections.
