If one has to justify and control annual miles, depreciation, or interest better think thrice or go for Lexus or Toyota / Honda minivan because can probably drive it for 30K miles and get close to paid amount back.

My friend's sister did just this with an RX 350.

Can't beat Lexus for resale, or the Japanese minivans.

Just buy any vehicle at the bottom of its depreciation curve. And do the repairs and maintenance yourself. I drove 80s Mustangs until 2011, when I decided I was ready for something newer. At the time they were available running and driving for less than $1,000.
