Well all is well... Ford Engineering told the service dept. that the amount of flake was normal and the filter was likely not installed properly at the factory. Below is what i have for photos, sorry about the first 2 service dept pics.
Yes I have the old filter and it will stay on a shelf, as is, for a couple of years, that i'm sure of... She's back in the nest no more strangers touching her in the near future.
Service Dept. has ordered a new housing.
I assume someone will eventually talk to and hopefully train, the person installing the filters. It's only a matter of time before this isn't an easy fix for someone.
