Is it worth spending $1900 on radio upgrade to 8 inch system from infotainment?

I received my 4 to 8 from infotainment.com today. Works great. It was pricey but worth it for the seamless operation and fairly easy install in my 17 GT.

Curious, did it enable the different drive modes?

I got mine from Infotainment.com. The drive modes are not enabled. What I learned after I already purchased was if you buy from 4dtech.com they go a step further and enable drive modes. Besides that everything is working as if it came from the factory.

I bought the infotainment 4" to 8" Sync 3 upgrade (non-navigation) a few months ago and I don't regret the purchase. I do wish I had done more research as piecing it together yourself can save you at least 1/2 of their price and or going with the other suggestions in this thread. Everything is better with the 8" touch screen and android auto works great.

I did have to enable the drive modes switch functions and correct the hazards switch to be up (on) and back down (off) with Forscan on the infotainment install.

Very pleased with the upgrade though it could easily be found for under a grand if you look....a bit more if you want a navigation APIM.

I bought a mine from a boneyard for $350.00. Exchanged the non Nav APIM for a Nab one for an additional $200. You can find it much cheaper.
