Today coming home in fifth gear around 3k rpms on a slight long incline I got on it a bit and noticed what felt like brief pauses in acceleration without lifting off the throttle. Kinda felt like studdering or a misfire. I'm leaning towards the clutch because in neutral with clutch engaged I hear this high pitch whirring sound around shifter, I push the clutch in and it stops. Could be why I feel like this car doesn't haul ass like it should.

Well that sounds pretty bad. Should I be throwing a code or anything?

You're probably just loading up. I get this sometimes with lowish RPM and pushing the throttle too much. I let off, it stops or down shift.

Sounds like bearings inside the trans.
I don't think it's the throwout bearing because if it was, the sound would be when you press on the pedal not letting it out.

I agree, not the throw out bearing, I stated the bearings in the transmission. The throw out bearing is outside of the transmission. The noise stops when clutch is depressed, that is when the throw out bearing is in use. With the clutch let go in neutral that is when the noise starts, that is when the gears and bearings are moving inside the transmission.

So possibly pilot bearing as the clutch is engaged and in neutral. I brought the car into the dealer at 6k miles ( 6 months ago) for vibrations through clutch/shifter during shifts above 4000 rpm they sent me packing saying it was normal but if things got worse it's documented and will be covered. If its the crankshaft bearings which i hope its not, its out of my control.

With that being said, my 2017 had some high pitch whining sound between 2-3000 rpm in 1-4th gear when new now it's pretty much gone.
I would keep driving. It will be covered under warranty if it's a problem.
