Tom, it was a 2 day (Thur & Fri) 3 run groups and 5 -30 sessions each day. Mostly exotic cars and a lot of vettes. Ran all 5 sessions on Thursday and was on 4th session Friday when a McLaren kicked up a rock I guess just as we hit the brakes for the chicane. Scared the hell out of me. really loud pop. Needless to say I blew thru the chicane. On the upside, car ran flawlessly again and for general information to the listening public, did not use one drop of oil. That was my 4th time running the Daytona track Love this beast on that course.Wow Dave, bummer.
Glad you are ok. Did you sign up for multiple days?
Thanks for that info...that is exactly what I was looking for.I had to replace mine once due to a crack. Went via Safelite. If I remember well, there were two options.
The original one which has the choice of with or w/o “laminate” which I think is more sound dampening and rain sensor or not. I don’t think GT350’s have rain sensors ? But I might be wrong. I went with laminate and w/o rain sensor. Also has the Ford oval sign. Safelite does offer a cheaper alternative without the Ford oval sign which I assume is non OEM ? I went with this part number FR3Z-6303100-H for my 2016 TP. I think all S550 std Mustang windshields fit all Mustangs, at least that’s what the vehicle fitment info says and worked for me. Good luck with the replacement.
I don't know about that..... But either way, I'd go OEM. And there is a choice, soundscreen or not, get the soundscreen...but but .... hold on, the led shift lights display needs special coating in that area to work, it's not just glass over there..... do all mustangs have shift light ?
It has to be polarized glass like the one on DSLR filters, to be able to reflect exactly for the driver.... Check if you passenger sees it, I bet he/she's not. I changed my BMW M5's windshield once (that car has all kinds of things displayed on HUD, including GPS) and the idiots installed a regular windshield, aftermarket... they had to remove it and install it again, with an OEM BMW unit.I don't know about that..... But either way, I'd go OEM. And there is a choice, soundscreen or not, get the soundscreen.
I think I asked that a few times and the answer was yes. I'll check it again. Either way, OEM will take care of that.It has to be polarized glass like the one on DSLR filters, to be able to reflect exactly for the driver.... Check if you passenger sees it, I bet he/she's not.
