Is Forgestar owned by Weld?

Ordered 18x5 Forgestars, took 3-4 days to ship and I got a UPS tracking update and says its coming from "Weld Racing."

Either I got sent the wrong rims or......

Finally found my answer after burning up the Goog machine for a while.

Weld bought Forgestar end of 2016, and then Momo bought Weld in 2017.

Pretty cool, reassuring on the quality to expect given some of the bad stuff out there on the internet from 2014-2016 for Forgestars failing and cracking.

IIRC Forgestar wheels are made in China as are some factory Mustang wheels.

To be clear here, not that I am some huge forgestar fan, blanks are formed in China, final machining, powder coat, and quality control done in the USA.

Since end of 2016 and most of this year, I believe quality control and inspection was taken over by Weld Racing.

I am no expert though, going by web posts I have found.
