Hi,

I'm new around these parts, recently got a used 2015 EB with the 50th anniversary package and loving it.

I'm hoping this is the right place for my weird issue: the computed MPG (or rather L/100KM since that's what I'm using) value seems to be reversed.

All the cars I've driven so far that showed fuel consumption worked in such a way that, while in neutral, they displayed between 0 and 1 L/100KM (which makes sense since it should be close to that). My EB displays 30 L/100KM while in neutral and as far as I can tell the display only goes up to 30.

Is it possible that some sensor is installed backwards? The engine was switched on the car because the original went ecoboom so stuff was disconnected around there.

Thanks!

Working as intended.
My '17 ebm is the same.
You are still using gas while standing still so it makes sense that you are getting a high(30) L/100km value.

I did considered for a short while that it might imply something like "since your speed is 0 KM/h then you'll be making 100KM in ∞ time and, as such, the fuel usage is maximum". Good to hear it's not broken.

You're getting 0 mpg when you're stopped, but the metric inversion means your number is divided by 0, so as long as you're not moving your fuel economy is infinitely bad.
