So I have a 2016 Mustang gt when i bought the car i had a engine code for the imrc one was stuck open one was stuck closed so i bought a intake the car had a gen 3 intake didn’t know this until i went o replace em. OFC they don’t make gen 2 manifolds anymore so i ended up finding one on ebay for sale i bought it after i swapped it in i started getting a intermediate misfire on 6 and 8 i’ve done everything besides a new manifold again id prefer to keep a gen 2 manifold so i can keep the imrc but its impossible to find em and gen 3s are expensive so i was wondering about a 302 intake i know you need to do imrc to lock em out but its miles cheaper than i gen 3 is this a good idea or should i just keep looking for a gen 2 again or just ball out and buy a gen 3 with the pig tails ect

why dont you just lock the imrc on the old manafold and buy NOTHING... hell ur gunna get a 302 mani that u need to lock them yet you make this post about trying to fix it with a oem manifold so you dont have to lock them... what are u asking?
are u asking how to lock the immrc or are u asking what is the cause of the missfire. are u talking about a intake or a intake Manafold..
fix the imrc in the old manafold and done. upgrade to a gen3 and or get a aftermarket part and lock them.
is this a manafold thread a imrc thread or a missfire thread or a run-on sentence thread.

My bad it was about the misfire everything i’ve seen basically by the sounds of it it’s the intake causing the misfire cause i did plugs had a set of old injectors laying around so i swapped those in and i switch the coils around to see if the mis would jump cylinders and none of which happend. So i didn’t know if anyone had any other suggestions. But assuming im gonna need another manifold again I was asking which the best route would be on manifolds. The gen 3 manifold that came with the car had all the pigtails and stuff for the swap but someone broke into my garage and stole em with my tools shortly after. So should i just do IMRC lock out on the old gen 3 and put it back in or do the lock out on gen 2? and do I even need to or could there be another cause for the intermediate misfire? The mis is only happening on start up as well along with the misfire i’m having a terrible throttle response at highway speeds there at least a solid half second delay when i give it throttle at highway speeds. Would those be linked together in some way?
