interior lighting question

I don't drive my Mach 1 much at night but I noticed that the P N R D S are not lit up on my shifter...is that normal? All other lighting is working right. I am taking it in for its first oil change next weekend so if that needs to be fixed I want to point it out.

Unless something's different on the M1, that's normal, they don't light up. It's either white plastic, or a decal on the trim itself... can't remember which.

My father got an auto vert, and he noticed the same thing. He wound up ordering a manual shifter surround and replacing the auto surround, because it bothered him so much, hah.

It's normal. The gear is shown in the dash,so there's no need to light the shifter bezel.

It's not normal that it doesn't light up....but that's the way they designed it... to not light up.
