Interesting manufacturer error?

I placed my order for my Mach 1 HP back in April. Took delivery of it last week and have been loving it. I ordered the 600A "base" car with the Handling package, Cloth Recaros and rear seat delete. When I took delivery I noticed that instead of cloth Recaros the factory installed leather Recaros instead. My build sheet and window sticker both say cloth Recaros. Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share with everyone.

Yes I would agree they were probably out of the cloth seats and used the leather instead of holding up your car for a part shortage.

I’m pretty sure you can only get the leather in a higher package. On my 20 PP2 301a the Recaro seats were cloth only. I did swap them
Over to leather though. So an nice free upgrade for you.

Have to look, but if i remember correctly, you need to add a premium package to just get leather interior.

Not likely. This was a factory mistake.

@MrXXX0 that is a cool story with your car! Make sure you preserve the window sticker and documentation showing that it was an error for the future

Maybe only the factory could say. I would guess they sell way more leather Recaro’s than cloth.

I bet you’re right but I can’t see the factory changing your order to leather without some kind of notification. Imagine if you ordered a black car and it shows up white. Oh we ran out of black paint that day so we chose a color for you

I'm definitely not complaining. Was fully expecting Cloth Recaros cause I had them in my previous car and loved them. Not a massvie fan of leather in sports cars but not gonna complain about this mistake at all.

You're correct. Everything else in my car is what would be on a "base" Mach 1 car. Cloth inserts in the door panel, soft touch plastic on the dash and knee pads on the center console.
