I've been tossing around an idea for us bolt-on, naturally aspirated guys that can prove they are making 500hp, or more, at the flywheel. That would be 440whp for the manual guys and 425whp for the auto guys. Something like a decal or forum signature tag like this.

Cool or not cool? You won't hurt my feelings. The color can be whatever. Other ideas are also welcome.

Other way around ... autos lose more power to the wheels.
Fixed! That's the way I had it in my head, but still wrote it wrong.

I guess we would have to mutually agree on driveline loss as well.

I assume 12% for a Manual and 15% for an Automatic.

Why measuring at the flywheel? That's just an estimate? Just to get to 500?

"Why measuring at the flywheel?": Because it would be very difficult to reach 500whp with bolt on parts alone.

"That's just and estimate?": 12/15% a pretty scientific estimate, based on years of dyno testing data. Each year that number grows smaller, as technology is improved, but that's where it's at now.

"Just to get to 500?": Yes, 500bhp is a number that is achievable if you carefully pick your parts and tune. But, doesn't require cracking open the engine to accomplish. It's what some may consider max safe tuning.
