Installing new tunes/calibrations - Roush

Hi Folks,

How are you going about installing new Roush calibrations for your SC GT's?

I understand you can do this via RDT with a J2534 pass through device. What other devices work, does it specifcally need to be a certain brand?

If anyone does their own updates are you able to explain the steps? e.g, how do you get the new calibration to flash etc.

I would contact the dealer you dealt with, then see if they can have another dealer near you to up flash the new tune for you

If there are any updates Tickford should do it for you as they installed the supercharger...

Yeah understood, but having to travel interstate just for a tune is not really something that I want to do. I know you can do it yourself these days so ill contact Tickford/Roush and see what they say.

Not positive, but back in the day, the only way to do this was only through Roush's pass thru device.

The Roush Diagnostic Tool is what Roush mentions that is used to flash with. Will see what they come back with.

There’s an updated tune that just came out from roush, just a company tweeting their tune with a bit more power

There’s a new heat exchanger and I believe TB too in which customers got for free as an upgrade.

0 issues at all with the tune, but since they have a new one I may as well grab it as it again ups things.

Should be a Roush dealer tuner in Canberra that could upload the new tune to your car

Actually the one before the latest (one i have) is pretty amazing. Can't wait to get the one that just came out.

The only way you can do it is with a J2534 pass through device. When I asked they did not say it had to be a Roush specific pass thru device. Just that "I will need a J2534 pass through device" to do the update.

What are you guys talking about new tunes from Roush?? I have a 2019 Roush Stage 3. There's another tune for the car?
