When you picked up your new car did you just grab the keys and leave. "Going to look over the car at home later". Or...how long did it take you to inspect the car at the dealership and how thoroughly?

I told my sales manager that I had a three page list of items I was going to look at (most came from comments made by other forum members who have already picked up their car and then found problems). I also told them that I wanted the car in a heated bay while I inspected it (MN: day temps 0-20F; night temps 10F to -10F). The manager looked at me like I had two heads...so I am assuming most of the new owners are driving off right away after getting the keys.

IF my girl ever comes in, I'll do my inspection on site before I leave. Our dealer has an enclosed, heated delivery bay so that part won't be a problem. We live over an hour and a half away so picking her up/ stopping by later with cosmetic issues is not a viable option.

If you have a list from the forums, use it...I wish I would have visited the forums and made a list before I pulled the trigger on mine.
